Just saw this little gem today for the first time in years. By far one of the best commercials ever made, and became one of the first broadcast commercials to really spread via youtube. Oh the power of internet video.

Duck Sauce, the eminent producer duo comprised of A-Trak and Armand Van Helden, are primed to drop their second official single, “Barbra Streisand” on October 12th.

So I came across this very interesting video of these guys who are making an open-source program that identifies brand logos in video and replaces them with something else or blocks them out all together. This is another of the many examples of the consumer rejecting brands. So, how does the advertiser still get through to their consumer without over-branding?

Well, you provide a service. Either you entertain them or give them some information that they are genuinely interested in. In this world of on-demand internet content, if you don’t provide them with a service, they just won’t watch.
